Jingdezhen China Ceramics Museum Held Collection Donation Ceremony

In order to welcome the 2019 China Jingdezhen International Ceramic Expo and respond to the strategy of the national ceramic culture inheritance and innovation experimental zone.  On the morning of October 17, the collection donation ceremony and the opening ceremony of Romanian potter Vlad Basarab's works exhibition were held in our museum.  Zhao Gang, Party committee member of Jingdezhen Bureau of culture, radio, TV and Publication,director of Jingdezhen China Ceramics Museum, Tong Xiaoming, deputy director of Jingdezhen Bureau of culture, radio, TV and Publication, Chen Yiqi, deputy director of Jingdezhen Bureau of culture, radio, TV and Publication, Li Ning, secretary of Jingdezhen China ceramics museum, He Side, deputy director of Jingdezhen China ceramics museum, Cao Jianwen, professor and doctoral supervisor of Jingdezhen Ceramic University, Felicity, professor of ceramics and glass at the Royal College of Arts, and Liu Songlin, a potter.  Romanian ceramist Vlad Basarab, ceramic artists Qu Jianing, Li Bo, Qiao Yun, Xiang Da, Zhou Yun and Zhu Zhiqiang, as well as artists, collectors and journalists from all over the world attended the opening ceremony.

Jingdezhen China Ceramics Museum, received 185 pieces of donated ceramic works of art, including the artistic crystallization of ancient craftsmen, ceramic works meticulously created by contemporary ceramic artists, some of the works selected and exhibited at this year's national art exhibition, and dragon boat porcelain carvings created by ceramic artists. These exquisite designs and endless rhymes embody the painstaking efforts and wisdom of artists, embody their exquisite skills, and present unique splendor of ceramic culture.  A total of 8 representatives were invited to attend the donation ceremony and the collection certificate was issued on site.

Mr. Cao Jianwen, professor and doctoral supervisor of Jingdezhen Ceramic University, donated his collection of Shang Dynasty printed large pottery pots, five-generation green and white glaze bowls and green and white glaze holding pots to Jingdezhen China Ceramics Museum.  Among them, the large pottery pot with printed pattern in Shang Dynasty is the largest pottery in our country at present. Two pieces of celadon are the earliest celadon in our country.

Pottery artist Mr. Liu Song Lin donated his ceramic work, the sculpture of the dragon boat with astringent tyres, which is large in shape and beautifully produced, and reflects Jingdezhen's exquisite porcelain making technology.

Romanian ceramist Vlad Basarab donated two ceramic concept works, one of which is memory-folding and shaping series and one of which is memory-book series.

Artists Qu Jianing, Li Bo, Qiao Yunyun, Xiang Da, Zhou Yun and Zhu Zhiqiang, participating in the ceramic art exhibition area of the 13th National Fine Arts Exhibition, donated their works "Wheel", "Tales of Time", "Fruitful Achievements", "Yibingding Without Road", "Cardamom" and "Go With The Wind" to Jingdezhen China Ceramics Museum.



On the one hand, the donation reflects the donor's love for the museum, on the other hand, it is also an affirmation of the donor's support for the museum, calling on more social enthusiasts to donate to the museum.  Accepting donations has greatly enriched our collection, improved the quality of our collection, and even filled in the gaps in our collection.
